Welcome back to another instalment of For Your Viewing Pleasure, where we take time out of the week to curate a set of photos from the K-pop landscape.
There is beauty in structure, and even this shines through in fashion. The charm of repetitive squares in checked clothing can be chic, as in Lee Chang-sub‘s suit, or lovely like Minnie‘s pink and white checkered dress. On the other hand, the satisfaction of looking at perfect symmetry is indubitable. This is easily achieved in photoshoots with suitable camera angles. Lee Si-woo makes this symmetric close-up even more dynamic by filling up the space with his lifted hands holding up a necklace. The same goes for Giselle who has lifted the ends of her dress to elevate her photoshoot. It may be fun to be spontaneous and free of structure, but take a second to admire the visual precision of geometry and symmetry this week.
